Celebrating springtime that has finally arrived in New York with this classic tune on a baroque violin☺️🌸 (but it's so hard to play on this instrument!😱) NYにやっと春がきたので、慣れないバロックバイオリンで祝福💛古楽器ってほんとに難しい…！！ -- Baroque playing is very difficult for me as a modern player because baroque violin doesn't have a chin rest and a shoulder rest to rely on, every pitch is half-step down, and can't really vibrate so I can't fake my intonation (aghhh)... but it's super cool so I'm trying to learn more! Happy Earth Day! 🌱💙 My friend took me to a state park for camping & hiking in Texas and I had an absolute blast *relaxing* (which might not sound right to you, but I'm usually like tuna who needs to be swimming all the time, otherwise die lol) --> long post ahead --> ---（日本語は下）--- I've been taking a time-off this week from NYC to focus on practicing for my upcoming duo recital. I'm realizing how effective it is to immerse yourself in nature and polish your five senses, then focus on practicing/work/study. My concentration level has risen significantly and I've become more creative & productive. It's so easy to be like "omg I have an audition coming up so I have to practice in a miserable practice room for 8hrs/day" but what you a actually need is inspiration from outside of your bubble.
