みなさんおはようございます。
１月も２０日がすぎました。いやー、早いものですね。
年末年始を過ごした日本からニューヨークに帰ってきましたが
先週は早速の大雪で外は真っ白。

地元・大分ではなかなか見られない景色ですが、
大学のボストン→ニューヨークに計８年（！）住んでいる私には
もう見慣れた光景となってきました。

東京での打ち合わせではもう半年先の予定や仕事を決めたり
夏の予定を確定させたり、（おいしいご飯を食べたり、）、、

まばたきすると夏だね、なんて冗談まじりに言ってましたが
たぶん現実になるでしょう（・ω・）
2020年、一瞬一瞬を大切に生きたい！

そして今は３月東京でのイベントを企画中…
今年はもっと読者さんやフォロワーさん、聴衆の皆さんとの
インタラクションを増やしたい！と思っています。

I thought we just said Happy New Year to each other – but January is almost over. My second book is coming out in 9 days in Japan, and I am so stoked to see the physical copy!

I spent the new years in Japan in my hometown, Oita, and Tokyo for some business meetings. It’s always relaxing to spend time in Japan, however busy I am there. It might be the food, culture, language, or everything altogether – but I just feel home. Even though I have spent 8 years in the U.S. already, going home is always a nice feeling.

During those meetings, I was discussing my business/event plans over the summer and after, and I was joking with business partners that “one blink will bring us summer.” In other words, January is almost over, the spring will pass soon, and the summer will come right away.

There is a saying that the older you get the quicker time passes by – and I feel like I understand the reason a bit more now.

Have a happy rest of January to all of you 🙂
