6月11日はニュージャージー州のアニメコンベンション、AnimeNEXTにてCAPCOM LIVE!のライブでした！演奏者視点からのライブレポート、わかりやすくさくっとお届けします！

1. AnimeNEXTとは
   そもそもこのイベントは、ビーチもショッピングモールもカジノも何でもありな、ラスベガスを小さくしたようなカジノタウン、Atlantic Cityで開かれるアニメイベント。見渡す限り、ど迫力のコスプレをしたお客さんだらけで、自分がアニメの世界に入ったようでした！
2. CAPCOM LIVE!とは
   このライブは、私が数年前から参加しているVideo Game Orchestraというグループが行なっている、カプコンのゲーム音楽のライブツアーです。中国・メキシコ・ジャパンツアーを終え、今回は初のニュージャージー公演でした。
3. メンバー
   今回のメンバーはプロデューサーのShotaを筆頭に、VGOからNoriko, Masato, Louis, Dave, 新メンバーのShunsukeとDavinを加えたバンド＋ストリングスでお送りしましたー！

6. 今回のハイライト
   ひとつめは、スタンディング席だった上にアニメファンが集った会場だったので、今までにないくらいの盛り上がりを見せたこと。ヘドバンあり、踊りあり、叫ぶのもあり、大興奮の客席にステージ側も熱くなりました！ふたつめは、VGOで初めてアニメの曲を弾いたこと。普段カプコンライブでは演奏しないアニメの２曲ですが、アニメイベントということで特別に演奏しました！客席はそこでさらにヒートアップ。みっつめは、最後にヴォーカルのDaveが客席ダイブしたこと！お客さんの波にうまく乗ってしめくくりました。個人的によっつめは、逆転裁判６のバイオリンソロを弾いたことでした♩
7. さて、次回のライブはどこで開催されるかまだ発表されていませんが、ぜひお楽しみに！以上レポートでした。

I was in Atlantic City to perform in Capcom LIVE! at AnimeNEXT this past weekend – here’s the brief show report from stage of the amazing live show yesterday! 😀 Thank you so much to those who came to our show!

1. First of all, what’s AnimeNEXT?
   AnimeNEXT is a big anime conference in NJ, where many of the attendees wear cosplays (they are usually amazing quality; my favorite was definitely a big dinosaur I saw on the street) to attend panel discussions, performances, and autograph sessions.
2. What’s Capcom LIVE!?
   It’s a live tour series that performs music of Capcom games, presented by members of Video Game Orchestra, a Boston-based band that I joined back in 2013. Past tours include China, Mexico, and Japan tour.
3. Members for June 11th show
   Led by Shota (guitar), our band had: Louis (bass guitar), Masato (guitar), Noriko (percussion), Dave (vocal), and new members Shunsuke (drums) and Davin (keyboard) + strings (Matheus and myself on solo violins) + Igor (our sound designer)!
4. Venue
   was huge.

6.  Highlights of the show
   Firstly, the standing seat got the audience into the show. Each audience joined our show in their own way; head banging, dancing, singing along, shouting… it was amazing to see how they shared the music together in such a intimate setting! Secondly, it was the first time that we played anime songs – they were arranged only for AnimeNEXT this time. It had a slight different vibe and I loved playing it! Thirdly, our wonderful vocalist Dave dived into the audience…! He got big support from a big wave of the audience and closed the show. Lastly and personally, playing a violin solo on Ace Attorney was so much fun 😀
7.  We don’t know when the next show is going to be, but you should come to our show! I promise you won’t regret, even if you don’t know any game music (because that was me before joining VGO)!
